Photovoltaic modules, ground-mounted plants for heating networks and solar storage tanks, which are counted under hot water and buffer tanks, are excluded.<\/p>\n<p>Demand has fallen steeply since its peak during the gas price crisis and subsidy boom. The main reason is substitution: heat pumps are displacing solar thermal in new build and heating upgrades, and installers recommend photovoltaics alongside them.
