Description
Aluminium front door market Germany: unit sales in thousand units by segment and forecast to 2031
How is the aluminium front door market in Germany developing? The dataset provides sales of aluminium entrance doors in thousand units for every quarter from Q1/2021 to Q4/2031 – as historical market data and forecast.
The dataset covers house, apartment and commercial entrance doors with thermally broken aluminium frames, including the few steel entrance doors. Makers are mainly aluminium system houses and specialist door firms. Aluminium dominates entrances to offices, shops and public buildings, where doors join stick-system facades, handle large formats and heavy use, and integrate access control and escape routes.
Aluminium is the only external door material gaining share structurally, in commercial buildings and upmarket houses alike. Four factors drive this: burglary resistance to RC classes; smart home and access technology cabled inside the frame; large glazed inserts and LED elements needing rigid frames; and low maintenance versus timber. Gains come mainly at the expense of PVC and timber. Volumes still hinge on existing stock, where doors are often renewed together with windows in energy retrofits under the German Buildings Energy Act (GEG). Share gains level off later.
Which questions about the aluminium front door market does the dataset answer?
- How strongly will sales of aluminium front doors grow up to 2031?
- How many units go into non-residential buildings in new build and renovation?
- How many aluminium front doors go into housing, and what part of them into existing buildings?
- When do sales pick up again after the construction slump, and how are they spread across the quarters?
Who is the dataset for?
Aluminium system houses and powder coaters can plan capacity, suppliers of access control and motor locks their sales targets. Metal fabricators can plan project and private business, architects their tenders. Investors and analysts can track the fastest-growing external door material.
Data basis and methodology
The dataset shows the total market split by new build and renovation and by residential and non-residential buildings. Completions, permits and window renovation activity are converted via entrance doors per building type; the aluminium share is far higher in non-residential buildings and rises over time. The model was cross-checked against available market and industry data as well as internal data.
Delivered as CSV and Excel files, each in German and English, with 44 quarterly values. Related datasets: Aluminium windows, Entrance door timber, Steel door / fire and security door and all data on windows, doors and sun protection.
